Testing the SMP beta on a dual 5160 3Ghz Xeon rig produces some good numbers. Having 4 cores to process a big work unit reduces the time to about 13-14 hours. Too bad its a company system, this would make a nice KM backend.

I'm only 2,642 days away from passing cjoyce. I wonder how many points per day my epia m1000 would be capable of folding.

Mainly a bump to get this back up but also to let people in on some other sites that give some graphs and such.

Unless we port MythTv to the cell processor, we were never going to be at the top! I'm pretty impressed with how we've done to this point. Kudos to cjoyce for getting us up near the top as fast as we did. And kudos to Cecil and Dale for putting this in the distro and making it easy for KnoppMyth users to do something noble with their extra CPU cycles.

As of 3 days ago, I'm back in the fold. Currently 3 CPU's with a possibility of adding a 4th. Go team!

Are you still folding? The Hardfolding site shows that you have not submitted work units since the week of 06-03

It looks like GnarETrails might have mispelled one of his clients user names. There has been units uploaded under "GrnarETrails"

Yeah, I'm currently Myth-impaired. My KM box went down hard during a week when I was at a trade show. I haven't had time to resurrect it since I've been out of town most of the time since. I plan to migrate it to the latest greatest KM and appoint it with dueling 750G drives. It'll be badder than ever! (I'm not worried about missing programs since this is the summer doldrums anyway.)

Folding during the summer definitely keeps the room warm! I have heard of people shutting down certain folding only boxes during the summer and starting them back up in the winter.

The biggest problem I've had lately is storms and power outages. :x When the power comes back on, the folding goes into standard loops, slowing them down. I can see a drop in my daily points when this happens. I probably should set the services up with the -forceasm flag.

I haven't seen this happen but I'm not sure what I should be looking for to spot this issue.

Are you having it on your myth boxes or else-where. I'm folding on linux and windows. let me know if there is anthing I should be looking for. I would hate to be wasting cycles. ;)

Well, I noticed from here that for some reason, I was registered as not connected, so I've rebooted my box to make sure everything was OK.
