Someone told me that the quality of the games and the preformens
is very bad when using linux as a oprating system is it so then i would not want to use my box for linux and would rather stay using windows XP

in my experience games that run natively on linux run just as fast (if not faster) as their win32 ports on equivalent hardware. Now if your talking through an emulator, that's different.
