How is the warranty on the Samsungs? I got burned by the 40G version way back when 40G was a lot of disk space. ;) I bought four drives and all four self-destructed before 18 months were up. Never got a thing from Samsung. I really want the Spinpoint to be a good drive. I always liked the quietness of 'em. I just can't bring myself to try them again.

The Seagates may not be more reliable than the rest, but at least they have that 5-year warranty, and they *have* paid up on that one, at least for me.

The 119.99 + free shipping is now a standard price on this 500g drive. Looks like maybe another sale with a lower price could be in the future...
