I downloaded R5F1 via BitTorrent with Azureus and left my torrent seeding after I had the file. I opened up the limits on Azureus to let the bandwidth flow (I have 100M uplink capability). But still I never pushed more than about 1M/sec during the last two days. What's up? Why can't I push more data?

I set my "max up" and "max down" to "0" (no limits). I set the number of "upload slots" to 100 (from 10). What else can I do? I want to push more bits!!!

I want your ISP...

You have a port forwaded though your router for torrent traffic?
Maybe there isn't that much demand for the data now. I have 2M UP and didn't see it much past 50kB. Good thing about torrents if there are enough seeders and peers once a new peer connects it will distribute the load among the swarm.

I show 18 seeders now and 2 peers, and I am using a torrentflux which doesn't support DHT, so are probably more of each too. New clients will probably get the data pretty fast.

What is your seed ratio?

I'm not sure what my seed ratio is. I've uploaded a total of about 4G now so I guess my "share" ratio is about 7:1 but I'm not sure what a seed ratio is. I've always been a torrent downloader, but I've never tried to be a major seeder before.

I'm operating through a firewall and I made sure the firewall was set up correctly to permit torrents. Data is flowing, just not as fast as I'd hoped.

Surely everyone in the world wants R5F1 now!

The best I managed to get through ktorrent was about 80kb/s up and 275kb/s down through my ISP.

I was seeding at my peak of 2.0Mbps when I was the only seed, and my ratio is at 12:1. At this moment, there's no demand for my upload, so it does happen even on healthy torrents. When more people start downloading, we could all have a bit of upstream usage.
