 Post subject: VLC vs M$ Media Player

Location: Minnesota- Brrrrr!
My machine has only 450 Mhz of CPU power: that being said, I would prefer to use a CPU efficient player: is that VLC or WMP? Thanks.

VLC but your congif is underpower. Should have a pvr350 with the tv out.

Yes, this machine (laptop) is used primarily for text (putty, Word Processing, E-mail. Web browsing) and occasionaly watching movie clips It also works well as an MP3 player.

I am going with VLC: I suspect that it is slightly leaner than WMP.

Those dual core laptops sure do look tasty.

VLC is good, you could also try Media Player Classic, it is also very small and resource lite.
