I got a flyer from Staples/Business Depot today. On page 15, glaring out at me was a WinTV-PVR 250 for $149.95, and yes that's Canadian Dollars. It's actually $199 with a $50 rebate. But wait, it gets better. The rebate isn't one of those cheesy mail-in ones, where you wait three months to get your money. It's an Instant rebate! And the sale is on till June 30, 2004. Two other suppliers list it as $209.95 (Memory Express), and $229.98 (London Drugs), so I know this is a good price. Heck I even checked the US Best Buy website for a comparison and found it for $199.95 US. The cheapest American supplier is $109.00 which converts to $148.37 Canadian without shipping (and that company won't ship to Canada anyway). I paid pretty close to that for my BT878 base Aver TV Studio. I thought it might just be Western Canada, but it must be national. You can find it on their Canadian website without having to enter a Postal Code. If you order from the web be sure to take note of the coupon code in small print at the bottom of the ad. I'd go for one of these but I don't think I can combine it with my 250 MCE...shoot. Thanks for the link though. |
