IMO its never a good idea to have a primary email address tied to the internet provider. When you change providers or when the provider changes its ownership you can lose that email address. Had this happen with my home account when the old home.com went bust, and my work account is DSL with baby bell that's been merged over twice so that domain name may be eliminated at some point.
