These are the symptoms that you are spoiled by MythTV. Please feel free to add more.

---

- Your hands reach for remote to rewind/pause - even when you are watching MythlessTV(or dumb TV) or listening to radio.

- You record anything and everything - because you can do it.

- You show off to your friends (I did ) saying I can record the TV programs for you and (use Spit2k1's scripts to burn it on DVD. )

- You offer to setup MythTV in your friend's old PC.

- You don't understand why people have to be back in time to catch a program - why not MythTV it.

- You have your own collection of all the episodes of all the programs.

- All commercials look new - since you always skip the commercials.

- You keep upgrading your PC - adding tuner, disk, more tuner, more disks, more tuner ....

- You have more disk space at home PC than the servers at work.

- Sometimes you wonder why there is no way to pause your spouse and wish there is a MythSpouse module.

- The number of tuners are not enough.

- You find out that there are no good movies to watch in the standard cable.

- You spend more time in fixing the conflicts in your recording schedules than setting them up.

- You buy atleast 100 DVD-R discs a month.

- You spend more for your computer than for your breakfast.

-------

You spent too much time in the KnoppMyth forum if....

- Your version of Moore's law is - " The number of messages in KnoppMyth forum doubles - every 18 seconds (ok - I am exaggarating it a bit - but it is going to happen soon) "

- You keep searching the Knoppmyth forum for new messages to improve your MythTV installation and if you don't find one you start a new topic and keep clicking to see the replies.

- You know the newbie's post - because the first reply is from 'Cesman' telling them it is not the right place to post.

- And you know the 'not so newbies post '- It always starts like this - I have already searched the forum - but ...

I'd add:

You know you're a KnoppMyth user if:

-- Your 120G hacked Tivo just seems too limited to be useful

-- You spend more time tweaking your Myth system than watching programs (because it's more interesting than stupid TV programs)

-- Your first thought when viewing the specs of a m/b are "I wonder if I should get one for my KnoppMyth system?"

-- You even record the nightly news because "they spend too much time on the weather"

Everytime you check out at the grocery store you wonder why do people need Tv Guide anymore.

A slight change to one previously mentioned. You ask if somebody wants a copy and you burn the dvd from work using Mythweb. The guy in front of me at work does this.

LOL, how true. My wife asked me today when I was gonna be done setting up MythTV. I told her "Honey, I'm sorry but I'm never gonna be done setting up MythTV" I'm constantly tweaking all of my PCs for greater performance or functionality.
