I would be very carefull, I think that is the one I just told my little sister to buy cause I though it was the bt878, but it ended up being one of the new conexant 881 chips which barely work with linux and don't work at all with mythtv. |

Xtopher - I ordered this card and was bit worried as Xsecrets said it might not be bt878 card. And this website does not talk about the chipset. I compared the pictures of this card with the one on the Hauppauge web site before I ordered it. But anyway this card is based on bt878 chipset. My primary card is a PVR-350. And I have another Pinnacle card that is based on bt878. All these cards work individually but I am having all sort of problems if I have PVR+one of these cards. I posted here and got help from all. But it did not resolve it. I did not try just the 878 cards, since I wanted a better quality. Anyway now I using mythtv with my 350. |

James I had no problem with them so far. I ordered few items in the past and had them delivered on time. They usually ship USPS. |

let me know if you get the right card. I'm almost positive that's where I had my little sister order a card, and she got the conexant one that doesn't work with mythtv. |

They sent the card very quicky! It turned out to be the bt878 model. I have only tried it under windows so far. I downloaded the drivers off Hauppauge's web site for the bt878 model and it installed. It seems to be just fine, picture better under dscaler, and a good deal at $20. James |

James I grabbed two, both were bt878-based, to add to my 350. Haven't installed them, converting an old gigabyte dual athlon mp to be the new primary backend, but trying to figure out what XPs will a) work on that board and b) will work as dual MPs with no or just minor modifications. Something to tackle in the new year... ![]() -brendan |

Can't confirm this. I never got it to work with my pvr-350. And I did not try just this card. Just noticed that Surpluscomputers added links to Anandtech's mythtv articles. |
