Last night I logged into the forum, then refreshed a few minutes later, and was greeted with a KazaaLite solicitation page (identical to the page found at filesharing.megacodecpack.com) Did anyone else experience this? Was the DNS hijacked? Was the site defaced? Or was it a network error on my or my ISP's part? Anyhoo - it's good to see that all is back to normal once again. |

My first guess would be spyware/malware on you desktop computer, especially if you're browsing with IE on MS-Windows... The next thing I'd look at is if the IP addresses are off by one bit... |

I'm using Firefox on OS X 10.3.9. It was really strange - all content within the phpBB2 directory structure was directed at that advertising page -- but mysettopbox.tv/knoppmyth displayed the homepage, as expected. I went to Google and looked for a particular post in the forum that I knew existed, followed the link, and saw the advert again. This all started at about 1:00 am Sunday CDT. At 8:00 am I refreshed the page, and it was still the advert. A little after noon, I tried again, and the forum was back. I'm thinking it had to be some snafu with the DNS server, housed at my local ISP. |
