If they were posted in KnoppMyth->Installation, and they had to do with post-installation topics, then yes, they can be deleted, as stated at the main level of the forum. Check the KnoppMyth installation instructions: http://mysettopbox.tv/doc.html Anything past the actual installation of the software onto the hard drive from the CD is considered post-installation and needs to be posted elsewhere. |

Cecil makes no secret of the fact that he exercises editorial control. As a matter of fact he has gone to some lengths to prominently post notices to that effect. If you fail to read or heed the forum descriptions and the sticky "Read this before posting!" notices, and he deems your post off topic he uses his root like powers to clean up after you. His intent is to keep the various subforums on topic so that they stay a useful resource for people to find answers to their questions. Since it's his forum, and the policies are stated clearly in a number of places, he's well within his rights and social obligations. Looking at the bigger picture you actually have to admire the effort he's putting into holding back the tide of entropy... |

search google with site:mysettopbox.tv and terms that should locate your post. with some luck, the entry maybe cached (click the link on the google output that says 'cached' Is there no way to refile, to say...'off topic' rather then just deleting. |
