Post subject:  A cheap way to get an OTA HDTV tuner?

The 9/12/05 podcast from these guys:

http://www.htguys.com/

included a tip from a listener who mentioned that many VOOM satellite receivers are up for sale on eBay. The listener pointed out that, although VOOM is gone and the satellite part of the receiver is no good, the OTA tuner still works fine. So, one could get the VOOM tuner for $30-50 on eBay and just use the OTA tuner and pick up your local HDTV channels.

Apparently there is one catch: the tuner can't have been unactivated prior to VOOM's demise.
