Anyone got any advice on getting winmyth working with r5a16 I've installed dsmyth filters and winmyth - correctly configured knoppmyth i think (its works via knoppmyth live CD) I either get 1 of two things happening when i run winmyth 1) it crashes immediately with error the type initializer for "CMythBase could not be initialized, Generally caused by DSMyth failure, check your DSMyth Settings." threw an exception an exception. at MythBase.Video..ctor() at Winmyth.VideView..ctor() at WinMyth.MainWindow.InitializeComponent() at WinMyth.MainWindow..ctor() at WinMyth.MainWindow.Main() or 2) it does not crash - but no window appears - looking in the tasklist it is using no CPU but is using 11,744k of memory it would be kinda handy to dip into myth from within windows from time to time without rebooting. ive googled and searched on various forums (including this one) - but dont seem to be able to find a solution to this one. |

The furthest I ever got with winmyth was being able to see the TV guide :/ I think I hand edited the config file and put in the IP address of my mythtv box. |

I have the same problem, the only goole result (on the specific error message) was your question in this forum...you didn't come across the solution by any chance? |

If I might make a suggestion I use MythStreamTv to stream to my windows box. It works well. Craig |

@michaelpirker: nope - no real solution - I got a 'little' further by installing an older version of winmyth (its seems the newest version of winmyth speaker a newer version of the protocol than knoppmyth) @iscraigh: Ive not tried MythStreamTv, but i like the idea of running the whole frontend which is why winmyth appeals |

thanks for the inputs! Unfortunately no luck using older versions. The 0.18.x verions gave me the same error. 0.16 and 0.15 crashed on startup. I have yet to try MythStreamTv. |

I have yet to try MythStreamTv. can remember if it was dsmyth filters or winmyth i downgraded ... on reflection i may have been dsmyth - but cant be 100% sure |
