I've installed R5B7 and everything works great. A co-worker also installed the same version. He was having a problem with mythweb's TV listing. Everything he tried to view the listings for any date in the future, he would get an error "Error 400 Bad Request". I also noticed the myth logo at the top left of the page would have a white background.

Turns out, it's an IE problem. Using Firefox, everything works perfectly.

So even though this may only affect 1% of the people on here, just thought I should pass it along.

Has anyone found a work-around for this? I still have this problem in R5C7 (had it in R5D1, too, but I had to downgrade back to C7 due to X server keeps crashing w/ Hauppauge 350 card issue).

I don't have a problem using IE (blast me all you want), but I think it's silly to have to install a second web browser just to use this feature.

In addition to the problem presented by the original poster, I also get 'Unknown program' dialog boxes when using mythweb--typically after selecting a program to record, however, the recording works perfectly!

Thanks for your help!

There are a couple of workarounds for this. You can update to IE7 which has better digest support, or revert back to Basic Authentication for mythweb. The 2nd solution is just a matter of following the wiki that tells you to use "BasicAuth", not "Digest". There are also two modules that need to be commented out (which I can't remember off hand). Take a look at the last post here:

The wiki has been updated to describe turning off Digest security and turning on BasicAuth, which IE 6 (and below) will handle properly.

Excellent, thanks for the quick help. My wife will be happy now!

I looked at the edits to the wiki and decided to move the paragraph describing this potential issue closer to the top of the page, as the opening paragraph says to ignore the rest of the information if the user has a newer version of KnoppMyth--that was enough to make me ignore the rest of the page before (so I'm not even sure if this information was there before or not).

Again, my sincere thanks!
