I've got my myth box connected to my tv via composite video out to a vcr and from the vcr to the tv via coax. While the picture is not bad for watching tv and using the gui, it is murder trying to ready text in the xterm during the initial install.

Is there an easy way for me to increase the font size in the xterm used for answering the install questions?

I agree that this is a problem. I added another entry to the menu that comes up when you click on the desktop that allows me to get an Xterm with a large font. This will not help during install however. Perhaps if TV is specified when the install is started, the font used by the xterm should be larger. Perhaps something to consider for a later version of KnoppMyth.

I used this in ~mythtv/.fvwm/.fvwm2rc
Code:
Exec exec xterm -ls -fn -*-*-*-*-*-*-18-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

You can add the following line to ~mythtv/.Xdefaults:
Code:
XTerm*font: 10x20
You can substitute the font of your choice for 10x20. You can do this during installation. If you forget and get a small xterm during install, add the line and restart gdm (/etc/init.d/gdm restart as root). The install will restart at the current step.
