i have 2 tuners installed and want to be able to watch one show while recording another. as far as i understand... all you need is 2 tuners to do this...

one is a pvr 350 and the other is a ATI TV Wonder VE.

now is it automatically going to record on the pvr 350? whenever i record anything - will it use the 350 and not the other card?

and i have no idea on how to do the sound.... i think i need an adapter to be able to plug into my tv's rca jacks right?

MythTV will use the first card defined to record. For the 350, the audio and video are mux'd in the stream. FOr the VE, you'll need to connect the audio out to audio in on your sound card. You can search the forum and read the MythTV docs for more....

where do i define to record at? lol

i was having problems with the VE's picture being almost black and white, but go that fixed using xawtv.

but when i try to switch tuners - to the 350 - i get a "unable to initialize video" screen with a button to return to menu.

is that a problem or should i not worry? the pic in pic works, but i cant swap the pictures, the "b" key.

any ideas?

edit: i tried making a .xawtv file so i wont have to run xawtv everytime i start it up, but its doesnt look liked it worked. where exactly am i supposed to put it? i did /.xawtv

it looks like this:
[global]
freqtab = us-cable

[default]
input = television
capture = overlay
norm = NTSC

thanks for the help

bump? anything?

i keep having to run these commands to get the ve working - if i dont the channels are one off and its black and white.

rmmod bttv
rmmod
modprobe bttv tuner=2

then xawtv to change it to NTSC, input to television, and to us-cable

still no luck on the sound. ran the line out from the ve to the line in on the souncard and get nothing. wat do i do with the 350 for sound?
