The source should already be there. Do this and post the results:
Code:
root@black2:~# cd /usr/src
root@black2:/usr/src# ls -ald linux* *kern*
drwxr-xr-x  19 root root     4096 May 21 10:39 kernel-source-2.6.11.9-chw-2
-rw-r--r--   1 root root 37405762 May 23 20:35 kernel-source-2.6.11.9-chw-2.tar.bz2
lrwxrwxrwx   1 root src        28 Jun 21 22:26 linux -> kernel-source-2.6.11.9-chw-2

Sorry to waste your time. I could've sworn I was logged in as SU when trying to untar it. Anyways, I logged in using Putty as MythTV, SU'ed in, and it was able to extract it. Thanks anyways.

It runs a Perl script which extracts the firmware payload from this MS-Windows self extracting archive .exe file and drops it in the right place under the /lib/modules directory. The comments in the Perl code are actually pretty readable...

Thanks for the guide, it's a great help, however it doesn't go over how to set up the remote. I know there is a guide elsewhere, and I have used it before to set up my remote, but it would be nice to have this all in one place incase I ever have to reinstall.

Also, has anyone ever figured out the quality issue? I've heard people talke like these 150's are great, but I seem to get skippy video and not that great of a picture. Maybe it has to do with the "Stream Type," can anyone recommend on that works particularly well, or perhaps another fix?

So far this "Guide" has worked for me but the video is still black and white... I've read somewhere where you could update a driver or a encoder or something to get the color through the S-video... unfortunatly for me the only connector I can use at the moment IS S-video.

please hlep.

ok... so, I have no idea why this worked... but I installed IVTV 0.2.0rc3j and it was still Black and white... I then went back to the 0.3.7k and did a make install in driver and utils and *poof* color!

Why it worked I have no idea... I don't think I changed any other settings.
