This is a new install of R5b7 on a 2 ghz pc with a pvr-350. I'm a newbie to myth.

My problem is that whatever I tried to record, all I get is a black screen. Also the "watch television" menu on the front-end quits right away and bounces me back to the main front-end menu.

So I think the problem is my video input. I'm not sure what the "default input" should be under the "capture cards" menu when running "mythtv-setup". So I changed it from television (which strangely is not an option in the pull down menu) to "tuner0". The system finds all my channels but still nothing but black in the mpg's.

After changing to tuner0, my program guide is now off by one channel also!! ESPN is usually on 24 and it's on 25, etc.

Can someone point me in the right direction here? I'm pretty good with unix but myth is a beast I'm just starting to dig into.
