RE50

I was about to install MythBurn by following the instructions. Those instructions include doing some apt-get commands:

When I do the apt-get update, this is what I get even using the original sources.list that was included.

Code:
Get:1 http://ftp.debian.org sid Release.gpg [378B]
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid Release.gpg
Hit http://ftp.debian.org sid Release
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid Release
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/main Packages/DiffIndex
Hit http://ftp.debian.org sid/main Packages/DiffIndex
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/contrib Packages/DiffIndex
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/non-free Packages/DiffIndex
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/main Packages
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/contrib Packages
Hit http://ftp.debian.org sid/contrib Packages/DiffIndex
Hit http://ftp.debian.org sid/non-free Packages/DiffIndex
Ign http://debian.geole.info sid/non-free Packages
Err http://debian.geole.info sid/main Packages

My original sources.list:

Code:
root@mythtv:~# cd /etc/apt
root@mythtv:/etc/apt# cat sources.list
deb http://ftp.debian.org sid main contrib non-free

#deb http://packages.debianbase.de/testing/i386/nx/ ./

deb http://debian.geole.info/ sid main contrib non-free
#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/debian sid main

#deb http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/distributions/debian-multimedia unstable m
ain
#deb-src http://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/Linux/distributions/debian-multimedia unstab
le main
root@mythtv:/etc/apt#

Any suggestions?

Thanx

Julian

Yep - this error shouldn't cause you a problem unless you need to get a package from the geole repository.

The problem with the entry for the geole repository is that the repository only exists for etch not sid.

So change the line that says
Quote:
deb http://debian.geole.info/ sid main contrib non-free

to say
Quote:
deb http://debian.geole.info/ etch main contrib non-free

(Change the word "sid" to "etch".)

Now "apt-get update" should be your friend.

Mythburn should already be installed in E50. From the main menu OpticalDrives then MythArchive.

Of course, you will still want apt-get for other stuff....
