You don't want an rpm, you want a deb. Download this - http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/ma ... .1_all.deb Install it with Code: dpkg -i yum_2.4.0-3.1_all.deb Or better yet, Code: apt-get update && apt-get install yum But why would you want to install yum as opposed to apt which is already installed by default? I've never been a fan of yum.

As in "yum" the rpm based package management tool used by Fedora and other RPM based distributions? You can install it with "rpm" if it's on the system, but if you're talking about KnoppMyth, which is debian based, it uses an entirely different package format, and you're confusing apples with oranges. There are ways to cross the divide, but that's an advanced topic. |
