Post subject: | Problems pushing files via Windows box |
So ive just worked through the instructions given on the knoppmythwiki site to allow my windows XP box and my mythtv box to talk to each other. The good thing is that i can see my windows box from my myth box and vice versa. Problem is that i cant seem to push any files onto the myth box from the xp box. Whenever i try to i get odd errors like "the specified network name is no longer available" or "the path is too deep". The errors only seem to pop up when im pushing large files like videos. I have no idea what is going on here, can anyone help me ![]() |

Are you doing file sharing/Samba? I haven't done much of that, but I do know that scp works very reliably. I use the command line client that comes with cygwin, but I've heard that WinSCP also works well: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php Boris |

The info on Samba didnt really help, it seemed to be a problem when moving files of a large size (100mb +). However WinSCP seems to be a good way of shunting files around. Cheers for that piece of info. |
