Hi everyone

Cesman and other dev's, I have recently upgraded my R5A16 install to lcdproc cvs (to be released towards the end of april as 0.5.2). I have done this as it includes config for a few more LCD displays, mine being a pertelian USB 20x4 display. I have turned on the LCD option in setup, but do not get the same display as when I use the curses driver, it is not formatted correctly, and I get loads of socket/widget errros on the console that I launched LCDd from. When I turn off the LCD option and just use lcdproc, it displays all system stats etc. fine.

Could the next release of Knoppmyth please include lcdproc 0.5.2 please ??

Could anyone tell me how exactly knoppmyth gets its data to lcdproc ?? And can it be modified ???

Any LCD output is handled by MythTV itself. LCDproc is included as it was an R5 request way back when... I myself, have no LCD display to play with.

Myth doesn't talk directly with lcdproc it sends the requests to mythlcdserver which then send the request to lcdproc.

Try running mythlcdserver from the command line like this
Code:
mythlcdserver -v most -x 10

you might have to change -v most to -v all it depends on what version of myth you have.

and post some of the errors shown in the output.

Also look out for a line that starts like this
Code:
LCDProcClient: LCDd version

what version is shown? It could be lcdproc have changed the format of version string again :x
