1) ATI support for Linux is pretty crappy. It's pretty hit or miss. It also does not look good for the future: Unsupported Features with ATI Linux Drivers 2) I don't think there is an FTP server installed by default, but you can install one easily, I've done it before. It's also very easy to share the folders where videos and movies are stored so that you can easily navigate to them on a network. I'm not sure what you're asking about restrictions. MythTV is Open Source. Google/Wiki Open Source if you are unfamiliar with the term. 3) As MythTV is open source it does not support some proprietary codecs "out of the box", but they are easily found and installed. |

1) The video card is a ATI Radeon 7000 (A.K.A. 7K) it is only going to be on a 20" for right now so picture quality will probably work with almost any Video card you throw at it 2) I read a little more into it since I posted this and found out that it is knoppix enhanced for MythTV so vftp should be no problem to install 3)but it supports MP4, Divx, Xvid, WMV, and generally any file with a avi extension |

ftp can be easily configured (I think there were some posts about this a while ago). Be careful as ftp brings with it some security risks. sftp works out of the box. I just use that. |

KnoppMyth provides no out the box support for patented video codecs. It isn't very difficult for the enduser to add such support if he or she choose. Please search the forum. |
