Sorry if this was covered somewhere. I searched for 2 days to find a solution that worked and I am at the end of my rope.

The problem is on my televisions the picture does not fill the entire screen so when I run this command:

nvtv -S NTSC -t -r 800,600 -s Normal

it perfectly set the size of the screen to my televisions. Now that I know what command works how do I get this command to run when the machine is rebooted so I dont have to execute this at the command line anymore?

I am using a fresh install of R5E50

If these instructions are posted in another thread please direct me to the proper place. Thank you.

Add the command either at the end of /etc/init.d/bootmisc.sh or in your /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps file.

I have tried that command in both of those locations but when the system boots up the screen does not reflect the settings.

Is it that the command needs to be run as root user or something? I'm not totally new to linux but I dont know what things need to be run under what users. If this is the case, how do I go about running these commands as root or as a user that has permission to execute them.

Thank you
