OK, Here is what I have, http://www.uplinkstudios.com/tvsystem/tvsystem.htm What I need to know is how to set up MythTV on my Linux set-top boxes so that it uses the video server's IP stream as the TV source and radio source, and the storage server as the stored media source for MP3s, Video, Games, and Pictures. Also, I need to know what type of stream to setup so the MythTV boxes can read it from the video server. Thanks! |

dude thats a very broad question. i have no ideas but im guessing its a very complicated answer. maybe have a crack at it and post questions with the specific hurdles you come across. good luck |

The biggest hurdle I am facing right now is the one of how to tap the stream from the video server. I can probably deal with the others on my own but I don't know what or how to set up Myth to attach the watch tv function to a video stream being broadcast on via IP. What protocol do I broadcast in on the video server to make it compatible? What do I do to set each of the set tops to feed from it? Thanks! |
