Now that I have things pretty well configured, I certainly do NOT want to go through the process of setting up this box from scratch again.

Any recommendations on good linux software that I can use to image backup my machine to DVD?

The only similar thread I saw was here but I haven't seen any responses as of yet.

1) Using the system backup script is a good start. Unless you've done a lot of customization it should cover 95% of the settings related stuff.

BTW - I normally consider an hour plenty of time to allow for an upgrade and possible rollback. Granted I've done a lot of them, keep notes, and reflexively script my personal tweaks, but it's supposed to be easy.

Normally the wikis are my first stop for finding my solution. For some reason, I completely bypassed it when I posted. (I'll be sure not to make that mistake again)

The BackupEntireServerToDvd will work perfectly. Thanks!
