I'm planning to do a new install of the latest Knoppmyth release. Is it relatively easy to just leave the channel guide loading screens blank and then to fill them in later.

I don't currently have a zap2it account; and I'm thinking that at this point it makes little sense to bother setting it up.

Yes you can do that.

Why is that? You will be able to get guide data through (at least) Sept. 1st...
