Hi there

I have a Sony Ericsson w550i mobile, which I can use to remotely control my laptop (mouse and keyboard), equipped with a USB bluetooth dongle, works really well.

I have spent all of tonight looking around my knoppmyth R5A16 system for bluetooth functionality. It seems the kernel is equipped with bluetooth, but there are no tools. I tried to download bluez libs and tools from bluez.org, but couldn't configure, make or install. Looked on debian.org, and it seems that the bluez packages are the best ones to be used, they look pretty official.

Is there any chance that they could be included with the next release ?? I also have the developer tools to create the required files for configuring most of the Sony Ericsson range of phones, and from a hunt around the net I don't see a problem in developing the required stuff for all phones with bluetooth functionality.

I would live to give something as good as this back to knoppmyth users. Cesman et al, can the bluez tools possibly be included with the next Knoppmyth release ????

Look forward to replies......

Perhaps you should upgrade to the newest release...

Cesman

Thanks for your quick response. I am due to upgrade over the next couple of days to R5F1, but I looked from top to bottom through the changelog and saw no reference at all to bluetooth or bluez.

Can you please detail exactly what has been installed with regards to this ???

Thanx
