Is there anyone out there that might point me in the direction of a working xorg.conf file that is used with R5F1 and uses the S-video/TV out on this card?

I've read in the wiki that the nvidia supplied utility for configuring this card tends to mess up the xorg.conf file and it needs to be edited by hand.

Any hints, tips, or pointers to additional info much apprec.

Thanks.

I run R5E50. With a 5200 card S-video worked right from the start with no need to modify xorg.conf. I had the s-video cable connected to the TV when doing the install.

I switched to a 6200 card and got the HD outputs to work pretty good but not 100%. But I recently did a reinstall and the picture seemed fine without modifying xorg.conf. HTH.

My 6200 LE did not work at all out of the box with S-Video - but some smart person left an example nvidia xorg.conf file in the /etc/X11 directory of the R5F1 install. Once I copied this over xorg.conf I now have s-video working... at least for the MYTHTV GUI/menus...

Sadly... when I go to watch live TV I get a blank screen...

All of my guide data downloaded fine...

On to the next layer of this onion... ;-)

Try the BlackScreenWatchingTV troubleshooting page on the wiki (link below).
