Post subject:  persistant blank screen after first boot
ran the boot installer for r5f27. Managed to make it through the initial setup, after first reboot lilo loaded fine, a full screen worth of post data was scrolled by. Then a blank screen was displayed, at first i tried to be patient, but after 20 mins i decided to reboot using ctrl-alt-del, which worked fine, the system was not frozen.

Next boot attempt same issue, tried to ssh in but no go system didnt make it far enough to do squat. blank screen persists (black on vga & dvi--tvout on pvr350 is blue.).

had originally tried manual install, then tried auto instead. same issue persists.

the post data doesnt display long enough to read all of it but i was able to read the following few lines that may be relevant.


mount failed for selinux fs: no such file or directory

FATAL: Error inserting cx88_dvb....:no such device

Checking nvidia driver installation... (<--- last line to post before blank screen.. no nvidia adapters connected to this machine)

system config as follows:
mb/cpu: via epia en15000
video: onboard via igp
ram: 1gb
disk: 320gb wd sata
tuner: pvr-350

had been using r5c7 successfully for nearly a year. maybe i should reinstall c7 and try to upgrade.

Any assistance is appreciated.
Let me know if there is something more relevent that may be in the post that I have not included.

killer!

took some learning on my behalf but this fix did the trick.. thanks for pointing me in the right direction
