So I've been running my myth setup for 3-4 weeks with great results via DVI to a 19" LCD. I now have a 42" LCD TV that I would like to run HDMI to from the myth box(NVidia 7300 card with DVI and HDMI ports) I havent been successful at all in switching over to the HDMI straight to the 42" I copied the nvidia xorg sample over to xorg.conf and restarted. This worked for 1 time and now Im back at just the DVI to the 19" Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! |

Which "sample" are you referring to? The only sample included w/ KnoppMyth is for TV out. |

xorg.conf.nvidia.tv.out.sample is the one I used. My apologies if this is a noob brainfart. On another note, when I restart....I do get the POST and lilo on my 42" through the HDMI but when X starts up it pops over to the 19" via DVI. If I dont have the DVI connected then I just get a blank screen on the 42". |

If Mythbuntu works, there is no reason you could not get KnoppMyth to work (assuming you still want to). Try a fresh install or copy over your xorg.conf from the Mythbuntu install. The new nvidia drivers make things pretty easy... but more difficult on cheap HDTVs (like my Vizio) and very easy on higher end HDTVs (like my Sony XBR4). |
