TV tuner should be on the backend machine if you are separating the frontend/backend.

As for the frontend machines, you can set them up with help of the KnoppMythWiki.
http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=FrontendOnlyInstall

Your backend machine is set up like the install you already have. In other words, you don't need to do anything special. You can edit the startup files referenced in /home/mythtv/.fluxbox/apps to stop the frontend from starting automaticly on boot. However, that's optional.

While you're at it, a new release of KnoppMyth was posted on July 6, 2008. The new version, R5.5, contains a newer version of mythtv (v0.21-fixes) and all kinds of improvements. Note that you will be unable to mix R5F27 machine installs and R5.5 machine installs due to the different mythtv software versions.
