I tried to add a pcHDTV card to my mbe (see sig for details) and the box crashes on boot. I get a variety of errors from "cannot load saa7127" to "VLI not tainted" to any of a number of others. It looks like its crashing just as it discovers the new hardware. So my question is whether this is worth troubleshooting or should I just install the pcHDTV card and auto-upgrade to the same os level (5.5)? I don't mind trying this but not if I end up exactly where I already am. Thanks for any input. |

I have a friend that is using R5.5 with a PVR-350 and pcHDTV 3000 and is having the same issue. We've also tried R5F27 with similar results. We are still trying to decide if it's a mobo issue, drivers, etc. I am interested in how you progress. Good luck. |

bobmyth, Your friend might want to check out this link. I had similar problems with the PVR-350 and pcHDTV 3000 cards with R5.5 but had no problems with R5F27. |

I'm using 5.5. I have the pcHDTV 5500 just purchased less than a month ago. Haven't read thru the other post regarding F27 yet. |
