Hello, This is really wierd - I upgraded my box (using auto-upgrade) to R4V4.1. During installation, the pvr-250 is recognized, firmware messages appear, etc... and all appears well. I select the CPU (default to i586) and let it continue to completion and it prompts for reboot. After reboot, no pvr-250 is recognized. I've redone the auto-upgrade 10 times - and tried i686 as well (it is a P3 box) and still - no pvr-250 is recognized on boot up after knoppix install is completed - but it IS recognized DURING the knoppix install. The machine is a P3/800 with 256MB RAM, 120GB ATA Drive. Any help would be appreciated. |

I've had the same experience. My rig (Compaq DeskPro EN & PVR-250) was working with R4V3 and I did a FRESH install to R4V4.1 and all I see now is a black screen when I try and watch TV. It records all black too. This used to work perfectly (both viewing & recording) in the last release. I read some posts that spoke about editing the /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv file and I set options tuner type=39 from the original '2' setting. Rebooted ... and same thing a black screen no sound. Any thoughts much appreciated I would hate to have to roll back since this release integrates MythTV 0.15.1. |

The good news is now it works. The bad news is that I reverted back to R4V3. There is definitely something different with the way the PVR-250 is handled in the new build. I also recompiled ivtv on 4.1 before I gave up. |

you do know you can upgrade R4V3 to 0.15.1 of mythtv with apt-get right? look for the posts in the anouncement section. |

R4V4 works for me with a PVR350, both with TVout via graphics card and PVR350. |
