I have just tried to install knoppmyth on a new digimatrix and I'm very happy to find that it ALMOST worked. I've tried fedora core 1 and 2, redhat 9.0 mandrake 10.0 and my own install of debian. Each has failed for me. Don't doubt that I might be doing something stupid but the knoppmyth distro has broght me farther than ever before. I have great hope. I see that an attempt was made to load the saa7134 driver... Code: ># lsmod | grep saa saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.12 loaded however when I actually run modprobe saa7134 I get errors... Code: /lib/modules/2.4.25-chw/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.25-chw/kernel/drivers/media/video/saa7134.o failed
Linux video capture interface: v1.00 saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.12 loaded /lib/modules/2.4.25-chw/v4l2/saa7134.o: init_module: No such device I assume this is a problem. I would appreciate any ideas. It has been weeks of frustration thus far but my hopes are high for knoppmyth. |

I paid $404.25 from ewiz.com but have now learned that the tv tuner card in the unit was no good. So I'm getting it replaced, and will then try to sell the new only because I need a second tv signal input which the digimatrix does not support. Other then that the unit is fantastic. |
