I am at the end of a 2 week battle with upgrading from R5.5 to R6. I've got everything working except my irblaster.

I have a serial irblaster. I went through the remote setup screen and selected serial blaster, serial port: ttys0 and I am using the dish_network codes. I had to fix the lircd run script per this fly spray post:

http://linhes.org/flyspray/index.php?do ... ect=2&type[0]=&sev[0]=&pri[0]=&due[0]=&reported[0]=&cat[0]=&status[0]=open&percent[0]=&opened=&dev=&closed=&duedatefrom=&duedateto=&changedfrom=&changedto=&openedfrom=&openedto=&closedfrom=&closedto=

That got the errors to go away concerning /dev/serial_port no such file.

Everything looks as if it is running normally. I can use the change_chan.sh script and I get no errors, but it does absolutely nothing.

I can issue the irsend command (irsend SEND_ONCE dish 1) and it returns with no errors, but again the transmitter is doing nothing.

I have confirmed the transmitter is not sending anything by pointing it at my MCE receiver that flashes a red LED when any IR signal hits it.

Am I missing something obvious? I miss the irblaster script in R5.5[/url]

In case you haven't found it already, I think you will find what you are looking for in FS#328 - R6 with serial IR Blaster, irsend: hardware does not support sending .

Mine is working, but occasionally it will fail to change.
