Hello all.
I'm posting, cause I can almost taste my mythtv!
I'm almost there....
I'm not sure what version of knoppmyth I have: downloaded the iso a week ago.
how do I check?
Anyways. I'll post all of my "known" configs at the end.

I have my mythtv going out my H-350 tv-out *phew*......
BUT... isn't there always a but? lol
1. my X-server is offset by a bit (bigger than my screen).
I'm using 720x480....
I tried to use xvidtune: it won't let me do any changes!
so.... what can I do to change the offset?

I don't have any sound: haven't really configured that yet.
how should I properly setup sound, via haupagge? or from sound card?

and the most important part:
I can't get any pictures: just "snow".

I have rogers cable (canada), and have setup the datadirect? for my listings, but when I change channels, no go.
I read somewhere, where I should change my tuner=2 to tuner=39???
which I have done.
is this because of the "frequencies"???

In myth tv, it gives you options to choose input:
compose1 to 4, tuner 0, and s-video.. I have it set to tuner 0. is that right?

Can anyone steer me into the right direction?
there's sooo many things that I can change in this install: based on users inputs, so I don't know where I really should start.
well, I do: and I'm now starting here...

any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Will

I noticed a few things that have changed.
in /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv:

I keep changing the "options tuner 39"
and nothing helps.
I've changed it to 2

and I keep getting this error several times in messages:
ug 15 01:24:04 pvr kernel: tuner: tuner type not set

Now what I find interesting, is that my card seems to be sharing it with something else.
does this cause problems? should I be working with bios to make it the only pci using that irq?

any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Will
