Hi all! Is there a Step - by - step Tutorial for setting up KnoppMyth for a Nvidia Geforce FX5200 and Hauppauge WinTVI PCI-FM for PAL TV? I am not Linux Pro ... I am a little better than noobie

best way as far as im concerned is download the ISO. boot from it.. do a Automatic install and answer the questions it asks. it will walk you through 99% of it. The only thing to note is 1) sign up with an account at. http://labs.zap2it.com 2) after the install be sure to install the nvidia drivers.. you'll probley have specific quesitons durring the install, read the forum, and if your stumped.. just ask |

Thank You for Answer! The Problem I have: 1. If i do automatic install - evrything seems to be OK BUT: When it reboots after install, it disable picture on normal monitor and switch on TV OUT Picture. But I cant see anything on TV cause the picture is really screwed up. What is Zap2it?? thx Mike |

But I cant see anything on TV cause the picture is really screwed up. wow.. thats weird, if you have a built on graphics, sometimes the bios will control TV out, but the bios wont change because of knoppmyth, so i dont have a clue.. You should repost in the Knoppmyth installation section with this problem, someone will help you out. Quote: What is Zap2it??
I just read the PAL part. Zap2it provides the TV Listings for the US. I dont know if they do other countries. |

well I guess this is an instillation issue or more precisely a not following the install instructions issue. for tvout you have to edit the XF86Config-4 file and change the vertical refresh rate or else you will get garbage on the TV. It does state this numerous times in the instructions. |
