Hello all,

When I attempt to watch TV I seem to get these errors;

2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "T10" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "T11" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "T12" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "T13" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "T14" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 CheckChannel failed. Please verify channel "1" in the "setup" Channel Editor.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 Error, couldn't find any available channels.
2004-11-18 20:37:23 Your database is most likely setup incorrectly.
2004-11-18 20:37:31 Changing from WatchingLiveTV to None


I have defined some channels, and run the Zapit mythfilldatabase correctly.

Also the program guide doesn't seem to list any programs

I'm using a PVR 350

any tips?

I'd say something isn't correct in your setup. The way to use Zap2It is via "directdata". Check the MythTV docs on how to set it up.

For anyone who runs into this problem, I overcame this issue, by installing the latest IVTV driver and utilities. (0.1.9 I believe)

I also tweaked my /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv to look like this;


alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
options ivtv debug=2
options tuner type=2
options msp3400 once=1 simple=1
add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 tuner
add above ivtv lirc_dev lirc_i2c
post-install ivtv /usr/local/bin/test_ioctl -d /dev/video0 -u 0x3000
post-install ivtv /usr/local/bin/test_ioctl -d /dev/video16 -u 0x3000
post-install ivtv /usr/local/bin/test_ioctl -d /dev/video32 -u 0x3000
post-install ivtv /usr/local/bin/test_ioctl -d /dev/video224 -u 0x3000
