pedxing55: As far as the networking problems, what make/model of motherboard do you have? And does it have onboard Firewire? I had problems like you described, with networking working on one boot, and not working on another, and it was due to Knoppix trying to do networking via the Firewire port instead of eth0. I thought those issues were cleared up with R5A12 but maybe not.

yea i had actually already tried rebuilding the ivtv file earlier, but it did nothing. I tried again and no luck. However, the internet is working again...it is so weird.

I'm running a AMD Athlon XP 3000+.
