Hi, i've just setup a knoppmyth machine using a CRT monitor, now resolution is 1024*768@75hz ... now i'd like to connect a LCD TV via VGA insted of the CRT monitor .. the problem is that TV doesn't support 75hz of refresh, i think and its native resolution is 1280*768. l dont want to risk ... so, howto change refresh rate to 50 or 60hz and the resolution to 1280*768? You need to edit you XF86Config-4 file and change the monitor section. |

This modeline: Code: ModeLine "1280x768" 83.77 1280 1336 1616 1728 768 770 782 808 #60Hz and adding: Code: Option "ConnectedMonitor" "DFP"
to the "screen" section of /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 works on a Acer AL2671W LCD TV and Albatron MX440 card. The second addition is a nVidia driver option. More info on nVidia driver options in: /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README |
