I'm still trying to get this card going at 100%. I'm running a AMD 53 fx with a hd-3000 and an nvidia 5500 3d fuzion graphics card. My only problem at this point is that the sound/video doesn't run at full-speed. It's choppy and slow. Recorded content shows the same amount of lag. I know I've probably got to configure the XF86 file but was hoping someone could point me towards a good reference for accomplishing that.

From your description, my guess is that your system isn't using the nVidia driver but the one that comes with XF86. If you look at the log for XFree86 (located in the /var/log directory) it should say which driver it is using. If it's using the "nv" driver, that's the slow one. If it is using "nvidia" that's good. If you haven't installed the nVidia driver, search this forum or the wiki and you'll find many posts on the topic.
