This is just my opinion, but I'd rather pony up a few bucks for an nvidia card than spend hours trying to get an ATI card to work. Some battles just aren't worth it

Is there any reason to migrate from XFree86 to X.org? I have heard that there is better driver support for ATI Radeon cards. Has anybody tried the steps documented at http://www.debian-administration.org/articles/185 ?? If so, please let me know how you went. I need to find out how risky it is before I attempt on my own box. |
