I am in the process of putting together a myth box. I had done some reading prior to buying but am now worried about the hd-3000 card. I read initially that it was the best card to get but upon futher review I have my doubts. I planned on getting it so in the future I could use it for HD but for now just want to use it for getting the signal (ntsc) from my directtv box (either coax, s-video or component). I am getting the feeling that buying this card wasn't such a good idea.

Any input? Thanks,

Bill

Good for ATSC, not very good at all for NTSC. Not a mistake as such, just not a complete solution. Pick up a Hauppauge PVR-150 and you're covered for both.

Thanks.

Yeah, I read that....and some other peoples posst on the subject. I just emailed the company to try to return the card. Picked up a PVR-150 today.

I was hoping my conclusions were errant but I see they were not.
