I am happy to report that I installed version R5A26 without any problems. I am using a PVR-150 card and the remote works perfectly. However I am having issues creating an LIRC control file for my satellite receiver. I have a coolsat 5000. I have noticed that there is an LIRC Config file for the 4000 but not the 5000. All attempts to use irrecord generate “gap not found” errors, and irw and mode2 do not display anything with my sat remote. (They work with PVR-150 one and my TV remote. )

I have managed to find the CCF strings for my remote but I also have no clue as to how to convert them into something useful. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Have you had any Luck with this? I have a Coolsat 5000 as well and I'm just starting to try to figure out how to use it with my MythTV box. I'm using the ATI remote though with a PVR-350 for my testing for now and I’m unsure how to do this. Do you just use the same null-modem cable that comes with the Coolsat 5000 (the one that you can use to load channel lists, etc.)?

I have a pansat and the remote would not work properly. Its something with the manufactor and their codes not being normal.
Anyways look for a flash that has universal codes. IE. A tivo flash for your coolsat.

I know that pansats have them and coolsat being very close, there should be one.

Hope that helps.

Has anyone got lirc and coolsat 5k working? I'd sure like to figure it out. I'll mess with lirc this weekend and see if I can get the codes for channel changing, which is all I need to tune for shows...

Do you use the IR blaster or the nullmodem cable connection.

I second that question... I am wondering if anyone got this to work and weather it was through a straight through cable / null modem or IR blaster.

Thx.
