| Post subject: | KnoppMyth iso CD not bootable |
I downloaded the KnoppMyth.iso file and burned it to a CD using kb3 on SUSE 10.0, but it won't boot. Now, I have other iso files I have burned and booted with no problem. So, it this supposed to be bootable and if not does anyone know where I can get one. |

One or two of the mirrors had bad images recently. Be sure to check the md5sum. Of course it could always be a bad burn. We see at least one message a week around here from someone with that problem. Also don't forget to verify your boot order in BIOS... |

I checked the md5sum and it was fine and I know my bios is set as I can boot other CDs. As for a bad burn well, I looked at the CD and it appears to have all the information on it and used kb3 just like the ones that boot. So, I am at a loss as to why I can't get it to boot, though this is not the only image that I have had this problem with. |

It has been found through other users on this forum that the speed at which you burn the disc may have an effect. I personally use a ReWritable CD that will only burn at a maximum of 10x and I am yet to have an issue. Just a thought. |
