The DVR & PVR 500 are two different cards... I had a quick google but didn't find much that helps
something mentioned it uses a connexant chip (the old ones use a brooktree? chip)

Hey all Installed KnoppMyth, everything went fine, except I get no video when I try to watch tv, I used this as an install guide for the backend http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=PVR500DualTuner. Someone in that wiki mentioned having to update the firmware for the 500, is that a common thing for the newer ones? I just got this one this week. Any suggestions or help you could give would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -Jim |

Well looking at some other posts I think I see the issue, I'll try installing the newest IVTV tonight and see if that works

You're a little light on details... What version of KnoppMyth are you installing? I believe R5A30.2 already has the latest IVTV (0.4.2) module. It does have a slightly older version of the firmware so upgrading that to the one recommend for 0.4.2 might help. |

Jim- Thanks for posting the fix for the Hauppauge 500 card.
I tried to install KnoppMyth R5A30.2 and had no video, then following the link you suggested, I was able to upgrade the drivers. http://knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=PVR500DualTuner Take care. |

The 0.4.3 drivers are supposed to include that patch and the directions on the CompileIvtv page have been updated to install that version. |
