MythTV - No live TV with pvr350
Installed Knoppmyth R5A30.2, configured it completely according to howto. When I try to watch live tv using the guide from zap2it.com the screen is black on every channel. When I entered a few known channels manually all I get is snow. I tried the S-Video out from the "Dish Network" satellite receiver box and still nothing but snow.
Output from Dish Network satellite receiver connected by a coaxial cable to RF input on pvr350.
This should render a picture on the same channel the box is currently tuned into, but there is nothing but snow.
Tried putting the pvr350 into a Windows XP system and connected it to the same cable out of the Dish Network box, installed the Hauppauge software and was able to watch live TV.
Does anyone have any advice for getting MythTV with a PVR-350 and Dish Network up and running with Live TV.
I have resinstalled numerous times, and even installed it completely from packages for ivtv and lirc but to no avail.
Thanks,
randy

This has been covered before, someone in a recent posting even collected links to a number of relevant articles. If you're using the screw on coax connector into the tuner input the box is rebroadcasting the signal on some fixed channel like 3 or 4 so you'll need to pretune the capture card to that channel. There is an option to do this in the input connections section of mythtvt-setup.

This is the thread with the links: http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8678 Please search for more details.
