I have a knoppmyth R5A16 installed and have a working system with a Kworld DVB-T PCI card, everything works apart from the remote control. I have run lirc-reconfig.sh and everything seems to complete successfully, however afterwards when I try and modprobe the two modules required I get the following problem :-



Please could somebody give me a hint as to what I have missed? I dont know what the error message is meaning.

I'm having the same problem on my gentoo box, I've been googleing the whole day now without any solutions :S



I have a pinnacle PCTV card and can't get my remote working
It would be grate if someove knew the solution !

is there any logfiles ore something like that I should attach ?

I have the same card and have just installed r5a26 the strange thing is the remote works a bit, the numbers seem to work as arrows
ie 2 is up
8 is down
4 left

etc



the strange thing is lirc dosnt seem to be loaded



shows no sign of lirc.

and as it boots it says it cant load the modules

have copied the kworld stuff into /etc/lirc but it makes no difference


So as i said have you got it working

I have a card detected as "KWorld/VStream XPert DVB-T" but the remote won't work. I get the same error other people have been posting --
FATAL: Error inserting lirc_gpio (/lib/modules/2.6.13.2-chw-3/misc/lirc_gpio.ko): Invalid request code

Any ideas how I can get it going? I noticed this --

But I think that's for an older kernel - one that required a patch to get my card going - since that tag isn't defined at all in my kernel source.

I guess the 'kworld' selection on lirc-reconfig.sh must be for an older version of the card.

Anyone have any ideas?
