I have a system upstairs in my office that is running as a backend. It's an Athlon 3000 on an nForce2 based motherboard. The capture card is a PVR 150 MCE. It's recording and working fine. The Backend system has a DVD/CDR combo drive in it. Downstairs, in my living room is an Athlon 2400 in an nForce2 Shuttle system. It's running and connecting to the backend just fine. This is where my DVD burner is. Will following the steps below allow me to burn discs from my frontend system? or do I have to do this from my backend box? I'd really like to have my frontend system be the one that does the burning as my girlfriend is more likely to fully utilize all that MythTV has to offer if she doesn't have to trek up and into my office.
